That was a few days ago now. Unremarked upon by anyone in authority. Not in Russia, nor Novorussia, nor the oligarchs that are eating each other in the former Ukraine. Perhaps they are simply preferring to ignore it.
I doubt it. I would like to believe it, given the massacre at the Union House, and the general anti-Kyiv junta attitudes that are prevalent along much of the South/South-East Ukraine oblasts around Crimea and towards Transnistria (other than Mariupol).
If so, I wish them luck. They will need to organise their militias to defend against inevitable reprisals from the maniacs in Svoboda, Azov, Pravy Sektor, etc. They won't get support from Putin, who is determined to avoid a military confrontation: WW3 will not help anyone at all, despite what McCain, Kerry, Clinton, Pyatt, Nuland, etc. might think.
Frankly, if it came to a miltary confrontation between USA and the Russian Federation, the latter would probably win. American military dominance is vastly overstated, kicking the crap out of little countries has proved problematic at best. The Russian Federation has much better missile technology and their aircraft are based on older but equivalent if not superior airframes, they have caught up with avionics and are much better at ECM. The F-35 is nothing but an horribly expensive joke.
Not that there would be any winner in a WW3
