Manuel Delisle, the man accused in a bizarre Quebec road rage incident involving a chainsaw, has pleaded not guilty to armed assault.
Alexandre Hermenier and Karine Cyr say they were driving Sunday in St-Jérôme, Que., just outside of Montreal, when another driver cut them off.
Hermenier decided to follow the man and later tried to block him from leaving the scene while Cyr called police.
Cyr recorded the confrontation with her cellphone and later posted it on her Facebook page. It shows a man approaching the vehicle, swearing and revving a chainsaw.
Delisle was arrested on Monday morning and charged Tuesday at the Court of Quebec in St-Jérôme with armed assault.
He pleaded not guilty and was given a conditional release.
The conditions of his release include keeping the peace, staying at least 500 metres away from the couple's home and workplaces and not communicating with them.
Delisle is scheduled to return to court July 7.

Sociopaths are more volatile, and can lash out unexpectedly. Furthermore, most crimes committed by them will be spontaneous and disorganized.
It is essentially pathological to drive a car around and around and around at speeds of 60-70-80 mph in blind pursuit of technological ambition.
Ask any road kill victim.
Squirrels, turtles, frogs, skunks, raccoons, deer, etc.
But that's okay, certain pathologies are acceptable if enough people do them and it's connected with HUMAN PROGRESS.
In fact, if most everyone does them, especially those in the higher realms of the human technological hierarchy, then they're grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat.
Then the victims are victims no more, perhaps just a temporary emotional consideration, if anything at all and a minor one at that; particularly when compared with things that really add up and count like bank rolls and pay checks and investment portfolios. Road kills are barely noticeable and quite insignificant, in this better and greater and more advanced human light.
Next stop, children (minors). Sure are a lot of them, too, aren't there?

p.s. I must be insane, there is no connection between driving fancy hi-speed hot rods, big hog 53 foot semis or other expensive manufactured vehicles and pedophilia. And road kill is -I mean- they're just little animals who got in the way.....who cares? And the kids (the human children) will be protected, there will be MORE laws passed for sure.
