Authorities say an officer who was involved at either the crash or the shooting is one of the people injured. Emergency workers were seen carrying a person in uniform to one of the ambulances.
Chopper footage at ABC7 shows a significant police presence. The footage shows two damaged vehicles outside the gates, one of the them an SUV.
FBI is investigating the incident, with police refusing to provide detailed comment, saying that the incident took place on NSA property. Fort Meade houses 11,000 military staff and 29,000 civilian employees.
