Pastor led kid 'to the Lord' by punching him 'as hard as I could'

A pastor at the Bible Baptist Church in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey is coming under fire after his church posted a video of him claiming to have converted a "smart aleck" youth by "punching him in the chest as hard as I could."

Pastor Eric Dammann begins by saying that he met a young man in Calgary named "Ben," who was "a nice kid, but one of those - he was a real smart aleck. He was a bright kid, which didn't help things - made him more dangerous."

"We were outside one day at youth group," Dammann continues, "and he was just trying to push my buttons. He was just kind of not taking the Lord serious [sic]."

"So I walked over to him and went BAM! Punched him in the chest as hard as I could. I crumpled the kid. I just crumpled him."

"Then I leaned over and said, 'Ben, when are you going to stop playing games with God?' I led that man to the Lord right there," he concludes.

According to the church's official history, Bible Baptist is a "family-focused body of multi-cultural believers...founded by a group of five ladies during the early part of the 1920′s."

Comment: Interesting last name of the pastor. So it's okay to use violence against someone questioning the religion? Apparently so with this pastor who considers a smart person as dangerous. Appalling!

Well i suppose he lost an argument to a child, and he beat him up for it, the cognitive dissonance was just too much, he had to release the stress somehow, I wonder if the young guy was the same age would he be able to do the good christian thing and "Turn the other cheek" for fear of getting beating up, ha ha and this guy is a pastor!!! unbelievable.

Yes, Pastor Damned, that is one helluva way to bring a smart kid to the lord... beat the shit out of him. Good going ya damn psychopath. I guess you really believe you'll be rewarded by God? You really think God can't fight her own battles? If I were Ben's parents I'd have you brought up on assault charges & at the very least assure the other kids that you you'd never ever ever... ever work around/with kids ever again, by not stopping until you were so very very FIRED!

Not just the fact that he did it, but even after having lots of time to reflect, he still brags about it in front of his flock. He says it all when he says "He was a bright kid, which didn't help things - made him more dangerous."
