Keep in mind that government will move in and confiscate everything. For its protection, of course. You should either leave it alone and to chance or do a thorough documentation (location, date and time, conditions, positioning, photos, etc.) Then remove the items for personal safe keeping. You can later use third parties to unveil your find.
The treasures don't belong to government so don't let government seize them. That includes institutions, universities, researchers, etc. So long as you do a heavy duty job at taking copious notes for restoration and historical reference purposes, it shouldn't be a crime to move the goods. Always remember, you take the items or someone else will.
