You have a point, and I guess some of this can be a matter of semantics. They are Orthodox Jews, whom oppose Zionism and the "state" of Israel based on the Talmud, which states they are in exile and forbidden to have Jewish state(did a quick pop on their website) Presently, there are 3 ways that Jews seem to be classified...Through Religion, through racial, and the most recent through nationality. I am not sure about Orthodox Jews view on these, but I would think that they only adhere to the first as the proper definition of what makes one Jewish. I am aware of the bloodline aspect of being born into Judaism through the maternal line,but I wonder if such a thing has been corrupted to try and create a race. One is usually "born" into the religion of their parents until they decide otherwise, which brings up the matter of conversion. Countless numbers have converted over the course of history. Constantine with Christians, Khazars with Judaism. It is a belief system, not a racial system, no matter how one wants to try and spin it. So they very well may be "Israeli" leaders in a sense(if those in this group dwell there) but to classify them as Jewish leaders would be more appropriate, imo.
