LAURA KNIGHT-JADCZYK AND JOE QUINN
Since the 9/11 attacks, no book has provided a satisfactory answer as to WHY the attacks occurred and who was ultimately responsible for carrying them out - until now.
>>>>>He got this condition by taking his homemade silver compound that was mostly a highly concentrated ionic silver solution
So primarily ionic silver solutions even if done correctly with distilled or demineralized water of verified purity, clean equipment and quality components is dangerous (causes argyria) like silver compounds?
The moment an Ag+ silver ion encounters a Cl- chloride ion the two combine to form silver chloride, AgCl, a salt insoluble in the body and of ZERO bactericidal effect; and which is, btw, a constituent of photographic paper; see this Wikipedia [Link] .
That said though you'd have to be as patently stupid as Mr. Whazzizname to get enough AgCl into yourself to become photosensitive.
In terms of what a rational human might consume, the argryia thing is patent bullshit put forward by those with other "interests," shall we say . . .
True colloidal silver vs. ionic silver solutions:
Since >98% of all "colloidal silver" products are actually IONIC silver SOLUTIONS, and since 75 to 99% of the silver in the said products is Ag+ (until it enters the body) rather than nanometer-sized clusters of Ag atoms then 75 to 99% of the money you spend to buy such products does nothing more that produce silver chloride, when in combination with the hydroCHLORIC acid in your stomach, or with the 3,200ppm concentration of Cl- ions in your blood serum. (Blood has a salty taste remember and salt is, essentially, NaCl, sodium CHLORIDE in other words.
And if that wasn't bad enough, the small percentage of the Ag-atom clusters in the VAST majority of ionic products are greater than 6nm in size, sometimes as large as 8,000nm in size.
Mass held constant; more smaller particles exhibit FAR MORE surface area than do fewer, larger particles
In the colloid bio-effectiveness game it is surface area that carries the day so the specification we are interested in is surface area of Ag-atom clusters (or, particles) per unit volume of liquid: sq. cm. of Ag-particle area per cubic centimeter of water.
And that in respect of that specification no other product comes even close to Purest Colloids MesoSilver at 101 sq. cm./cc. The nearest competitor is less than 1/3 of that amount.
There is more to this, see my later post below . . . and in the meantime know that one of the Penn State researchers is also a significant participant in American Biotech Labs, the company whose IONIC products are referenced below. The papers referenced are NOT of non-partisan authorship.
Of all of the home made and commercial silver preparations available today, the vast majority are ionic. One company, involved in researching medical silver applications, developed an entirely new process which created a unique, pure elemental silver nanoparticle, Ag4O4. Research at Penn State named this a nano-catalytic silver hydrosol. It passes completely through the body unchanged. It will not bind with other biochemicals present, as ionic preparations do, which makes it far more potent in much smaller doses than conventional colloids. Over 25 safety studies have demonstrated complete non-toxicity. This molecule stays in near solution and will not settle out as colloids do, giving it a shelf life in excess of 10 years, which has interested the military. In independent clinical and lab studies it has defeated every pathogenic bacteria in under 5 minutes, in solution strengths as dilute as 1.25 parts per million. It does not harm beneficial intestinal probiotics, like conventional colloids do, and is completely compatible with any prescription medication one may be taking. One would do well to learn more about this new technology which now holds 4 EPA approvals, 3 US Patents, and most recently, an FDA approval for its skin gels. Here’s the published science, much of it peer reviewed : [Link]

I have been ill with Lyme for 14 years. I nearly died. I found a silver with 10,700 ppm at Invive.com and took it 4 times a day for several months. My health changed dramatically and now I take it occasionally for flu or infection.
While I am certainly glad you found relief from Lyme's using Invive's products the fact is that, independently, two physicians developed identical and equally effective protocols for the treatment of Lyme's using MesoSilver.
One M.D. is still practising in Canada but several years ago Health Canada took offense to his successful treatment protocol and ordered Canada Customs to block his importations. The other M.D., US based, is still treating patients with 2 oz. of MesoSilver, 4 times a day, for 4 to 6 months.
========================
In respect of the Invive silver, this product is not a true nano-particle colloid and the site makes much of outdated although germane research and rather outdated technology from the 30s and 40s. Thile their "mathematical analysis" of surface area per unit volume is simply wrong for the very basic reason that nowhere are we told what IS the actual silver particle diameter ! !
Clearly, if one is to calculate the surface area of an ostensibly spheroidal particle, one must know it's diameter. Yet nowhere is that important specification to be found. Instead the site rails on and on at us about parts per million (ppm) volume concentration as though, standalone, that number had relevance. It doesn't . . .
So here is text from Purest Colloid's technical site Silver Colloids [Link] that accurately describes what is, exactly, a 2 or a 5 or 10,000ppm "colloid."

What is "silver protein,"also known as a "mild silver protein"?
Silver protein is made of metallic silver particles suspended in a polymer protein solution. While various polymer binders can be used, it is gelatin, an animal derived protein, that is one of the most commonly used.
Gelatin is a natural long chain molecule of indefinite length (polymer). Other natural polymers, such as casein, which is derived from dairy products are sometimes used. Natural protein polymers derived from grains can also be used.
While synthetic polymers are technically not proteins, they are long chain molecules of indefinite length and will produce the same generic type results as protein polymer molecules when used as an additive with silver particles. Therefore, we classify any product that uses a polymer additive as a "silver protein" type product because of the close similarities in the end result regardless of whether a synthetic or natural polymer is used.
True silver colloids have tiny particles whose size is measured in nanometers (nm), from about .65 to 100 nm (a nanometer is one one billionth of a meter). However, the particles in silver protein products are many times larger, typically being in the range of 100 to 10,000 nm — or up to 1,000 to 15,000 times larger than those in a typical to very good silver colloid, respectively.
Here are scanning electron microscope (SEM) images of silver protein products [Link] which clearly show the very large silver particles found in silver protein type products.
The enormous size of these particles would normally cause such particles to fall to the bottom -- rather than staying suspended in colloidal form -- were it not for the protein polymer molecules [forming a viscous "matrix" of sufficient "strength" to keep the very large particles from dropping out of suspension].
Because [a] protein molecule [matrix] will cause these large silver particles to remain suspended, high silver concentrations are easy to produce. Concentrations of silver are expressed in parts per million (ppm) and values as high as 20,000 ppm are not uncommon in silver protein products.
Production technology
The production methods used to make silver protein products were first developed about one hundred years ago. Products of that era used gelatin as the protein binder. At that time the technology did not exist to measure the size of particles in the nanometer range, but micron size particles were visible using the best optical microscopes of the era.
The smallest particles that were able to be produced were in the micron range. Because of the technology limitations, particles in the range of 1 to 10 microns (1000 - 10,000 nm) became the accepted standard for silver protein products.
For the most part, silver protein products produced today are made the same way that they were one hundred years ago. Many silver protein products made today still use gelatin type protein as they did one hundred years ago while others are now made using dairy protein (casein) or some other natural or synthetic polymer molecule.
The technology of making small particles has advanced significantly in the last one hundred years. Today the most advanced processes can produce silver particles smaller than one nanometer. One nanometer is approximately four times the diameter of a single silver atom. Unfortunately, these very small particles are not found in silver protein products. Silver protein products today have particles exactly as they did one hundred years ago which is about 15,000 times larger than the best colloids produced today.
This accounts for fact that silver protein products are sold with such high silver concentrations (up to 20,000 ppm). Because the particles are so large it takes an enormous concentration of silver to produce a usable particle surface area.
You seem pretty impressed with Meso and their Purest Colloids website. The fact that one must take 2 oz of Meso, 3 or 4 times per day points out the questionable efficacy of this product. That is a lot of silver to take daily. With the nano-catalytic silver hydrosols one only need take a single teaspoon full, 2 or 3 times daily. No wonder they sell Meso by the gallon. My philosophy is that any decently made silver supplemental product is better than none at all, but some are far superior to others - and possess independent in vivo research data demonstrating this.
The Purest Colloids product comparison page is filled with errors, which makes questionable any of their other in house "research." For example they list Silver Biotics (10ppm) and ASAP (10 ppm) with different results, when they are the exact same product, just different labels. They also state that they are 96 - 97% ionic, which the 4 year peer reviewed and published study performed by a team of 8 internationally recognized researchers in the field of medical materials science, headed by Pennsylvania State University's, Dr. Rustum Roy, definitively proved otherwise using state of the art equipment. Their 5 - 10 nm particles are 97+% pure elemental silver. That research was good enough to get the first silver particle US patent since 1924. How could Purest Colloids get it so wrong?
The above slandered sols also have reams of university and clinical human studies which no other silver supplement maker, to date, has. Until they can come up with what exactly their products do in a human body, in an independent, in vivo, clinical trials setting, there is really no way at all to compare their products, unless one is easily impressed with the size of a particle... with absolutely nothing but anecdotes to support claims of efficacy.
Given Big Pharma's decades long, three ring, bullshit circus it comes as no surprise to read the following on the website of Purest Colloids, the very best and one of only a handful of producers actually making true colloidal silver, as seen at this [Link] .
The Blue Man Fraud
By now nearly everyone has seen the story about Paul Karason who the news media has dubbed "The Blue Man". Although the news media has continually said that he was taking colloidal silver, nothing could be further from the truth. The Blue Man story became a major media disinformation event which was produced by a public relations firm and paid for by a pharmaceutical interest. The purpose of this campaign was to scare the public away from using colloidal silver products. The tactic was to claim that the Blue Man's condition was caused by his use of colloidal silver thus implying that anyone who uses colloidal silver would suffer a similar fate. The entire story as presented is a study in blatant misrepresentation. The fact is that Paul has a condition called argyria that turns the skin a blue-gray color. He got this condition by taking his homemade silver compound that was mostly a highly concentrated ionic silver solution. When he prepared the solution he believed he was making colloidal silver. He was not making colloidal silver. To make the solution even more dangerous, he added salt to the brew and then used electrolysis to make a high concentration of silver chloride with large particles which is well known to cause argyria. He further applied the compound to his skin causing him to become an internal and external photographic plate. To finish himself off, he used a tanning bed to "fix" the silver in his body. The moral of the story is to know the difference between true colloidal silver and ionic silver or silver proteins, and don't try to make either at home! (True colloidal silver cannot be made at home.)
The Blue Man charade demonstrates once again that the mass media cannot be trusted to report anything that even resembles a truthful "news" story. All "news" today is propagated with an agenda just like the phony economic statistics put out the U.S. government.
