Katherine Hiegl hates Balls...So what?
It's that time of year again, a time for forgetting all that's bad in the world and instead opening the little doors on an advent calendar and putting some tinsel up around the house. That is, of course, just one of the ways that the PTB use this 'festive season' to the max to keep us distracted as they nonchalantly strip away our civil liberties, living standards and dignity. Those who rely on the mainstream media for their news will be unaware that the US Government will soon be able to declare pretty much anyone a potential 'Terrorist', but they will know why Katherine Heigl hates testicles.

As I write, The top search term on Yahoo is Katherine Heigl. I must confess, I've never heard of her, but I think that is a good thing. According to the New York Daily News, she is an actress who stars in a 'hilarious' Public Service Announcement entitled 'I Hate Balls'. The video is to promote a spay-and-neuter animal campaign, in which she jokes that the real reason she's such an advocate for spaying and neutering animals is because she simply hates "terrible, terrible testicles." She goes on to say:
"Hate balls, fix pets, save lives. It's just that simple,".
I suppose if we just read the MSM then life would be simple. But take a tour around the alternative news media sites and they are reporting on something that might just be a little more important to the average American than dogs' balls: the new legislation in process that will enable the U.S. Government to declare a suspect U.S. Citizen a terrorist, who can then be taken to foreign prisons without a court process. The new signs of terror include those who have food storage for more than 7 days, missing fingers, or own guns and ammo!

Sen. Mark Udall, authored an amendment to the Defence spending bill fearing the provision could apply to U.S. citizens, and lead to an "unprecedented threat to our constitutional liberties." As The Hill reports:
The Senate rejected an amendment on Tuesday that would have removed a provision from the pending Defense spending bill to toughen U.S. policy towards suspected terrorists captured on the battlefield or on the home front. The amendment, defeated 37-61, would have struck a section of the spending bill that authorizes the president to use "all necessary and appropriate force" to detain people suspected of terrorism and instead would have implemented a timeline to allow further hearings and opportunities for the military to make recommendations on how detainee policy ought to change.
Since the rejection of the amendment, Rand Paul, (not Ron Paul who the MSM thinks doesn't exist) a proponent of 'Defending Constitutional Liberties', has been publicly expressing his frustration and fear of the new Government powers.

You can watch a Video of Rand Paul on the Senate Floor, explaining who the U.S. Government considers as U.S. Citizen Terrorist here and take note of his point that having more than 7 days food makes you a suspected Terrorist. The video also shows a FOX news anchor commenting on how Senator Linsdsay Graham, supporter of the bill, thinks the homeland is part of the battlefield and citizens can be held without trial whether an American citizen or not.

Press TV reports on the furious reaction of the American Civil Liberties Union:
"the senate is going to vote on whether Congress will give this president - and every future president - the power to order the military to pick up and imprison without charge or trial civilians anywhere in the world. The power is so broad that even US citizens could be swept up by the military and the military could be used far from any battlefield, even within the United States itself."
They also raise valid questions regarding the timing of this legislation which comes at a time the Occupy Wall Street protests show no signs of abating. It does raise the question whether the intended targets of this bill are those who are simply fed up with the corruption and corporatism. It pretty much enables the authorities to whisk away any dissenters to oblivion without them having committed a crime.

On the alternative news arena, there are Americans calling for action against this Nazi-Germany-esq legislation: On her blog, 'Sherie Questioning all', 'Sherie' makes the following impassioned plea:
Does everyone understand if you sit back and are afraid of sticking your neck out for YOUR LIBERTY and YOUR COUNTRY and Everyone Else in YOUR COUNTRY, then you are condoning what they are doing!

[...]

We can not allow a handful of people who serve their masters of corporations and banks to take away the founding fathers of this countries written Rights given to us! It is the basis of the country!

Treason is being committed by those who WE Elected directly against US! WE NOW need to say '" NO MORE - YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS TO DO THIS!"
Alas, for millions of Americans the celebrity banquet of distraction prevents them from getting the information they need to protect themselves from the creeping full-blown fascist police state upon them.

Reading this, at least YOU'RE aware of what's happening. As you put your Christmas decorations together and order your Turkey, remember to be very careful while you're carving it on Christmas day. Try not to get distracted by stories of celebrities and testicles, or those missing fingers will mean you're next Christmas is spent in Guantanamo...
