The point of the comment was to highlight that the article was disconnected from the pictures.
Why every year do we get a story about glaciers breaking away during the southern hemisphere summertime, maybe its just a coincidence! Why have I never seen an article about glaciers growing in the antarctic in wintertime?
I hope we see some follow up. Where is it? Does it portend a giant break-off? When did this occur? The picture suggests that
it was just discovered in the increasing daylight of Antarctic spring

It looks like the author should be sent back to school again as all the pictures in the photogallery are from the arctic except for one which is from Switzerland. Perhaps no pictures existed that would cause the reader to be alarmed.
