An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale jolted Saumlaki, Maluku at 6 a.m., local time on Sunday, but no fatalities or damages have been reported.

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said the earthquake epicenter was located 161 kilometers from Saumlaki, or 248 kilometers from Tual, Maluku, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Earlier, at 3 a.m., an earthquake also rocked the area. There were no reports of a tsunami.
