Candida 3
Candida albicans is a diploid fungus (a form of yeast), which is capable of sexual reproduction but not of meiosis, and a causal agent of opportunistic oral and genital infections in humans.

Systemic fungal infections (fungemias) have emerged as important causes of morbidity and mortality in immunocompromised patients (e.g., AIDS, cancer chemotherapy, organ or bone marrow transplantation).

In addition, hospital-related infections in patients not previously considered at risk (e.g. patients in an intensive care unit) have become a cause of major health concern.

fauxbaux was very brave and recorded her experiences with this dreadful diploid creature. Good quality information and free exchange of ideas are essential for understanding of the problem - and then getting better. Go easy on that Halloween candy this year!

Story of my struggle with systemic candida which ventures into Part 2 explaining the measures that have helped me fight it.

I forgot to explain the die-off effect. Candida produces over 75 known toxins and when you're combating it they're going to be released into the bloodstream even more.

Ease your way into taking supplements because the die-off usually makes you feel weak and and flu-like but you can find your balance. This gives details for the steps necessary to rid yourself of a candida overgrowth. These are primarily things I've discovered so far that have helped me.

Remember, diet is incredibly crucial. Sugar, yeast, antibiotics and steroid creams stay away.

Do a cleanse, change your diet, take probiotics, difflucan (remember to take it sparingly and if you're on it for an extended period of time get your liver checked to make sure it isn't overloaded with toxins) or a similar product, something to build immunity (I take transfer factor), enzymes, garlic, coconut oil, oregano oil, and etc. I hear Pau D' Arco tea is excellent but I don't know what you can mix it with.

Exercise and plenty of non-chlorinated water does wonders. Sounds hard but it's a lot better than dealing with this, trust me.

We're in this together. Good luck :)
