Strong storms ripped their way through Central Kansas and Nebraska Thursday night.

More home video shows uprooted trees and crushed cars from the storm.

Nine rail cars were blown off the tracks outside of Aurora, about 60 miles east of Kearney.

The Nebraska Public Power District says the storm left 12,000 customers without power.

Gov. Dave Heineman declared a state of emergency, which allows access to state and federal resources for storm cleanup.

No reports of deaths or injuries have come in as of publication time.
