Those opposed to fluoridation are far from being uneducated and illiterate, and they certainly aren't in the minority in many parts of the world. I would wager that it's very likely that those who oppose fluoridation are probably more intelligent and educated than the mindless masses who believe everything they're told. This would make sense in light of the fact that people are more inclined to oppose vaccination if they're university educated.
